Stations

Every race gets a build/economy loop tied to its own identity, on top of its combat kit. Most are gated behind a reagent sold by that race's faction merchant (see the faction merchant catalogue); a couple pay in coin instead. Full per-version history is in the release notes.

A handful of rules repeat across almost every station in this list:

  • Servants are tamed, not summoned. Whatever a station produces - crew, thralls, a garrison, a pack - follows when asked, walks home when dismissed, heals itself over time, and carries no loot on death. A farmable army would undercut the reagent it was bought with, so nothing raised at a station drops anything.
  • Stations of the same kind cannot be packed on top of each other. Each has its own minimum spacing, checked against every other station of that kind in range - not just your own.
  • Most are race locked. The build menu simply refuses the piece to any other race. The exceptions are called out below.

Aswid — Blood Refinery

A half-scale, red-tinted clone of the vanilla Eitr Refinery, built at the Hammer for 1 Blood Core, 20 Stone, 10 Bronze. No crafting station needed - only the Blood Core, bought for 500 coin from the Draugr faction merchant, has to be in your inventory before the piece appears in the menu.

The refinery runs two tanks, filled by pressing its switches with the right item in hand:

TankCapacityFilled by
Blood50Any raw flesh, valued the same way the Composter and Cursed Body Pile value theirs
Bone20Bone Fragments (1), Charred Bone (2), Charred Skull (3), Withered Bone (3), and the three Asksvin carrion pieces (2–3 each)

Every 20 seconds, if the refinery holds at least 5 blood and 2 bone, it spends 5 blood + 2 bone and produces 1 Blood Essence. Removing the piece returns bone as Bone Fragments; banked blood is lost.

Blood Essence (60 food, 60 stamina, 40-minute burn) is edible only by an Aswid - anyone else gets "Living blood curdles in a living throat." Five of them turn into one Superior Blood Essence (80 food) at a Mead Ketill.

Both essences feed a second chain, brewed at the Fermenter rather than the refinery:

Mead baseRecipeYieldsEffect
Blood Potion3 Blood Essence, 5 Blueberries, 5 Yellow Mushroom5× Blood PotionHeals 5% max HP over 8s, refills all 3 food slots with Blood Essence
Superior Blood Potion3 Superior Blood Essence, 5 Sap, 5 Cloudberry5× Superior Blood PotionHeals 10% max HP over 8s, refills food slots with Superior Blood Essence

Both bases ferment 4× faster than a normal mead. Past Fader, drinking either potion also tops off the Aswid's 4th food slot.

Draugh — Cursed Body Pile

Anyone can build it, but only a Draugh gives its garrison orders - for everyone else it is just a grave that defends its own ten metres.

Build: 1 Cursed Bone, 10 Entrails, 20 Bone Fragments, at the Hammer. Owning a Cursed Bone is what puts the piece in the menu in the first place.

Feed it any raw flesh (same per-item value the Blood Refinery and Composter use) and it banks the total; 100 units of flesh queues one Draugr Thrall. A Draugr trophy banks a full batch in one click - roughly a 1-in-10 drop from killing draugr - and an Elite trophy banks one Elite officer directly, once the pile is upgraded. A Greater Cursed Bone, available from Bonemass on, upgrades the pile permanently.

BaseUpgraded
Alive Draugr Thralls57
Alive Draugr Elite Thralls03
Queued (reserve) regulars / elites5 / 35 / 3

One queued unit rises every 60 seconds as long as there's room and stock, officers before regulars. Thralls patrol within 10 m of the pile when idle; up to 3 regulars and 1 elite can follow one player at a time. Destroy the pile and every bound thrall dies 60 seconds later unless it's rebuilt on the same spot - even thralls that were out following you. Up to 5 piles per 1.6 km².

Dvergar — Contract Bank

The one chain that needs no merchant reagent at all - the Dvergar pay for everything, so the station opens by being paid for.

Build: 10 Black Marble, 5 Yggdrasil Wood, 2 Sap, 100 coin, at the Hammer. Race locked, one per square kilometre.

Five crew slots, bought with coin at your own trader discount:

A hired crew keeps its employer's truce with every wild dvergr, seekers included, so an escort doesn't end with the shopkeeper dead. Full details, plus the companion Rune Barrel (20 doses of any vanilla brew, poured into everyone hired within 30 m), are on the Dvergar page.

Fenrir — Pack Trough

A standing pack, paid for in meat and built one animal at a time. Full mechanics - the three ranks, the 400-deep tank, the Ulvsblod reagent, and the Yagluth-gated upgrade - are on the Fenrir page; the short version:

RankSlots (base → upgraded)Interval
Pack Wolf10 → 15one every 2 minutes
Ulv6 → 10one every 3 minutes
Fenrir0 → 5one every 5 minutes

Pickaxe immune, one per square mile, withers its whole pack 5 minutes after it's destroyed.

Furling — Five crops

Not a built station at all - five cultivator entries, bought once from the Fuling Shaman and then grown forever. No new machine either: the windmill and the smelter each just learn three extra conversions, so every vanilla recipe in both still works.

Tin Flax20 coina flax plantmill → smeltTin
Iron Flax50 coina flax plantmill → smeltIron
Stoneberry20 coina bush, foreverStone
Flintberry20 coina bush, foreverFlint

The flax yields exactly what real flax yields (same growth timer, same world-modifier scaling) - only the harvest is metal-bearing instead of fibre. The dust it's milled into behaves exactly like the raw ore it stands in for, with one deliberate asymmetry: the flax travels through portals, the dust does not. The berry bushes are permanent once planted, same as a vanilla Cloudberry Bush, just yielding stone or flint instead of fruit.

Skadi — Crystal Golem & Bone Cook

A stonecutter-bound guardian and a shared half of the Bone Servants system. Both Skadi and Trol may build a golem, and both may now build inside any troll cave. Full mechanics are on the Skadi page.

Skeleton — Bone Servants, Bound Bone Pile & Bound Sentry

Skeleton (and, for the Bone Cook, Skadi) get two disarmed skeletons that work nearby stations without you standing there, plus a self-refilling garrison and a bound archer. Full mechanics are on the Skeleton page.

Sverm — Brood Mound & Hive Market

The Sverm's whole colony layer past The Elder - digestion, brood eggs, the troop roster, the market, blister ticks, and taken-over beehives. Full mechanics are on the Sverm page.

Trenta — Composter, Heartwood Grove & Root of the Elder

Three separate pieces, none of them race locked to build but all of them gated behind a merchant reagent or a boss kill. Full mechanics are on the Trenta page; the short version:

  • Composter — feed it 100 units of raw flesh (5 units → 1 unit of output) and a 40-minute timer turns it into 20 Fertilizer, which instantly grows any crop, sapling or wild pickable it's used on.
  • Heartwood Grove — plant a Heartwood Seed (20 Fertilizer, 1 Rot Seed, 10 Yggdrasil Wood) and wait 2 hours. Once grown it auto-fertilises an 8 m radius, stings anything hostile that gets close, and fills its own honey chest around the clock.
  • Root of the Elder — one of the Elder's own summoned roots, planted for good once the Elder is down. Self-heals, and once a minute repairs everything player-built within 5 m of it, anyone's buildings.

Trol — War Totem

Hires warbands of trolls and greydwarves for coin, race locked, with no density limit of its own. Full mechanics are on the Trol page.
