v1.4.9 — Factions gets an off switch
Factions can now be turned off — in two separate pieces, because the two halves fail differently — Serpent Meat stops being nearly worthless at the Fuling bench, and a Draugh can finally cook the stuff.

Three separate bugs were quietly erasing a Trol's 4th and 5th stomach slots every time the game reloaded, a faction truce was folding the moment an event or a raid started, and the Trol's own in-game compendium had been telling players about abilities a whole tier before they actually unlocked.
A defensive structure for the Trenta — the one race that had nothing to place until now — and a second button on the Race Menu Ward so a claimed progression tier can be dropped without ever opening the console.
One fix, and it's a multiplayer-only one: the peace every race is supposed to have with part of the world was silently failing for anyone who wasn't the client hosting the mob.
Permanent claws were a standing annoyance disguised as a feature: an unremovable item sitting in a slot for the rest of the run, whether you wanted it in your hand or not. This release turns them into something you reach for instead of something you're stuck with — and fixes a race whose own frost resistance was quietly cancelling out the resistance you paid gold or a wolf pelt for.
Two disarmed skeletons who work a station for you, and two cleanup bugs that had been leaving things behind: claws in your inventory, and basic materials off a faction merchant's shelf.
A second builder's hammer for anyone who wants one, the War Vulture stops being console-only, and two long-standing rough edges get closed.
Two versions at once, because only one of them actually shipped as its own number. v1.4.1
never got a manifest.json bump of its own — its commits rode inside the v1.4.2 release, so
this post covers both under v1.4.2's real date. Where the two overlap below, that is why.
The tenth race, a flying mount, and every existing race gets something to build.
Every race can now be retuned without touching a line of code. Nine races are grouped into three factions that stop a slice of the world attacking you and let some of it trade with you instead. And two visual bugs that have been quietly wrong since their races shipped are fixed.
Dragons get a sprint, a reverse gear and the ability to climb out of the sea. The Skeleton's progression finally does what its description has said all along. And three races stop being invisible to everyone but themselves.
