v1.5.1 — the texts come back, and a giant can reach its own feet
A fix release for v1.5.0. For some players every text of the mod read like
[rov_piece_sverm_broodmound_name], and the reports that followed turned up a Trol whose weapons
shrank, a Sverm market that sold nothing, and a Furling that stayed on fire after changing race.
The texts showed as keys
The 1.5.0 packages stored the translation files with Windows path separators, which the zip format does not allow. Depending on the platform and the mod manager, the files were unpacked where the game could not find them, and every name, message and menu showed its key instead. The packages are now built with the right separators.
If you still see [rov_...] after updating, remove the mod and install it again, so nothing left
over from 1.5.0 stays behind.
The Trol
- Weapons and shields shrank after being put away. The game attaches a drawn item at a
human's size, so a resized player's weapons came out too small, and pressing
Rin True Form brought them back tiny on a body two and a half times bigger. Items now take the player's size, every race that changes size included. The grabbed log keeps the size it always had. - Grab Log was nearly out of reach in True Form. You can only use something within 5 m of your eyes, and a True Form Trol's eyes are about 4 m up. Reach now grows with height: about 6 m for a Trol, 10 to 12.5 m in True Form. Smaller races keep the normal 5 m.
- The thrown log is the Frost Troll's. Since v1.4.16 the throw meant to borrow the log of the "Gammeltroll", the developers' own name for the Deep North's Frost Troll, found nothing and fell back to the old physical log. It now throws the Frost Troll's, which leaves a half pine log where it lands.
- The same food could sit in two slots, and Pukeberries never cleared the 4th and 5th. The extra stomachs are checked first now, and the berries empty all five.
The Sverm
- The Hive Market sold nothing. The nest's egg clock restarted every second, and a second is too short for an egg, so the clutch stayed empty whenever you stood by it. Every troop and the Blister Tick cost an egg. The nest lays one every 20 seconds again.
- The Blister Tick burst without an effect. It now shows the poison blob's burst.
- The dorsal spines are off for now. They came out through armour instead of standing off the
back.
EnabledunderSverm - Dorsal Spinesbrings them back.
Everyone else
- Trenta: the camera inside the Muspell sits at the form's head, and the form keeps idling instead of freezing after an attack.
- Furling: Through Fire and Flames no longer follows you onto another race.
- Fenrir: the hidden human under a form no longer attacks or blocks, which fixes stamina that would not come back; forms stop flickering between run and idle on uneven ground; claws and bites land on slopes and against trees and rocks; and the sunrise message names the form that still works by day.
- Factions: raids made only of creatures allied to your race are no longer sent at you, and allied creatures leave your whole base alone while you are within 100 m.
The Log Weapon that v1.5.0 listed as a known issue can be grabbed again. Thanks to the players who reported all of the above.
