v1.5.3 — Valheim 1.0 on the menu, and a Skeleton at the barber

Races of Valheim developer

Valheim 1.0 brought new creatures and new meat, and none of the mod's diets knew about them. Now the Aswid can devour them, the Draugh eats the new raw meat, and the Skeleton can pick its look in the barber's chair.

The Aswid eats the new creatures

Seals (adult and pup), the frozen Greydwarf and the frozen Shaman give the stats of Seal Meat Soup, with the seal's trophy as the icon. The Elaking and the Elaking Lantern give a Cooked Asksvin Tail. Moose and its calf give Cooked Moose Meat.

The rest follow the house rule: health halved, up to 150, for twice the health in seconds. That duration now stops at 50 minutes. This covers the Barka, both Jotun Warriors and the Deep North Goblin, which lasts 20 minutes like every Fuling.

Some get fixed values instead:

CreatureHealthDuration
Jotun Witch12060 min
Elaking Mole10030 min
Deep North Dvergr10030 min
Every earlier Dvergr, mages and the Ashlands one included9025 min

The Dvergr were never edible before.

The blood refinery takes the Elaking Hair Bundle in its bone slot. It is worth 20, so one bundle fills the slot.

The Draugh eats raw Seal Blubber and Moose Meat

Raw Seal Blubber eats like Seal Meat Soup and raw Moose Meat like Cooked Moose Meat. Both keep the raw item's name and icon. The Sverm's nest and the Aswid's blood refinery read the same table, so both count them as flesh too.

The Skeleton chooses its look

Sit in the barber's chair and the hair arrows step through the looks you have unlocked: normal, green from Eikthyr, flames from Moder. The name of the look shows between the arrows. Apply keeps it, Cancel puts the old one back, and other players see your choice.

It changes nothing but the look. Abilities still follow the bosses you have defeated. Until you choose, you wear the highest look you have unlocked, as before.
