v1.5.6 — workers stay home, and the wolf stops freezing mid-howl

Races of Valheim developer

Three fixes. Sverm Seeker Workers wandered across the map, the Blister Tick cap ignored the nest's eggs, and a Fenrir form froze if you attacked during its idle howl.

Seeker Workers wandered off

A worker that picked a fight chased its target across the map. It carried a Seeker's chase range, and the game measured that range from where the worker hatched, not from the nest.

Workers now fight inside the nest's own ground, 25 m, like the troops. They drop a target that leaves it, and a worker found more than 60 m from the nest is put back. Workers that wandered off under the old version come home too.

Too many Blister Ticks

The tick cap was a flat 10 at every stage, while every tick spends an egg that never comes back. The cap is now the lower of two numbers: the configured cap, or the nest's clutch at its stage (five plus the stage). Ticks you already bought stay and keep respawning.

Fenrir forms froze during the idle howl

The idle howl is a looping clip that the attack can't break out of. Attack during it and the form stood frozen, and the attack never played until you left the form. Now the form steps out of the howl before it attacks. If an attack lock still gets stuck, it lets go after 8 seconds. This covers the Wolf, the Ulv, the Fenring and the Cultist.

Thanks to the players who reported all three.
